Balancing business and adventure — the start of our digital nomad journey.

After years of dreaming, Matt and I are about to swap our home office for a life on the road. In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be setting off on full-time travel.
I’ll be honest, it’s equal parts thrilling and daunting.
As business owners, we’re grateful for the freedom to work from anywhere. But with that freedom comes a whole new set of questions:
How do we manage work across different time zones?
What’s the secret to staying productive without missing out on the magic of each new place?
Should we lean more on our VA, or ask a colleague to keep tabs on our inbox?
Is it best to be upfront with clients about shifting hours, or keep things business as usual?
And will setting an out-of-office message from overseas risk losing income?
These are just a few of the questions swirling around as we prepare for this new chapter. There’s no real 'off switch' when you run your own business, but having our own business is also what makes this adventure possible in the first place.
Over the coming months, we'll be sharing the highs, the hurdles, and the lessons we learn as we navigate work and wanderlust. Whether you’re a fellow business owner, a remote worker, or just curious about the realities of working while travelling, we hope you’ll join us for the ride.
Have you managed work on the move? Got tips, questions, or stories to share? Pop them in the comments below - we'd love to hear from you.
